Lorne again... 1. Anyone know anything about the Grey wagtail at Simpson's Gap? 2. In 1994, I was birding at Holmes Jungle park on the outskirts of suburban Darwin. Near the toilet blocks and picnic area on a series of small hills, and by the road leading to the park's entrance, I saw either Red-backed or Red-chested Button-quail, but didn't get close enough to get a great view. There was tall grass, low grass/shrub, and open woodland in the area where I saw the birds, with monsoon rainforest and wetlands not too far away. Can anyone suggest which species this may have been? Has anyone seen either species there before? It's been bugging me a while.
