Thanks to all who have replied, I have checked the relevant report in the QOSI newsletter (29:8) for a report on Frank Box's talk on nest boxes. The report mentions Boobook Owls at Kedron Brook, Brisbane, rearing two chicks in a box developed for Kookaburras. It was made from a 20 litre drum on its side. I missd that talk but I shall try to get to his talk at The Hut at 89 Fleming Road, Chapel Hill, Brisbane on Wed. 28th April at 7.30p.m. Lucky timing! The talk is entitled NEST BOXES THREE YEARS ON: SUCCESS AND CHALLENGES. Our kindy Boobook has been in open view for two months, though not every day now. Regards and appreciation to all, Ros Laundon, Brisbane. To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include ONLY "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
