Hi to All,
Myself & a small group of birders are planning a trip to SW Qld at the
end of Sept. with a limit of 12 days, probably conventional vehicles, and
preferably staying on the bitumen. We have a provisional itinerary taking
us from Brisbane to St.George, Eulo Bore, Yowah, Lake Bindegolly,
Thargomindah and from here have yet to decide. Do we go as far as
Noccundra? Are there any particular species to be found in that vicinity
(we may consider a short distance of dirt road but weather would have to
be dry). Would the time be better utilized by going north to Quilpie? (We
have been to Currawinya on previous occasions.)
Our return journey could either be retracing our path or via Charleville
& Mitchell.
We especially hope for sightings of Hall's Babbler which has previously
eluded us except for a brief glimpse.
Thank-you for any ideas
Cheers
Julie
