During the weekly walk at Pelican Point about 3km west of Perth City, we saw a female Red-capped Robin. This is the first record at this site. There have been few records on the Swan coastal plain. They are resident on Rottnest Island, but apart from a few records from Thomsons Lake, Murdoch University and possibly King's Park that I have heard of in the past 10 years. It has been an interesting summer as there was a Rufous Treecreeper at the start of summer. ____________________________________________________________ Frank O'Connor Argyle Diamonds 8C Hardy Road PMB 11 Nedlands WA 6009 West Perth WA 6872 Phone +61 8 9386 5694 +61 8 9167 1445 ICQ 14655047 Fax +61 8 9167 1438 Email Birding WA http://www.iinet.net.au/~foconnor/ To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include ONLY "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
