An interesting observation, for me at least, was having 5 different species of tern in the scope at one time yesterday at Toderel, near Langhorne Creek south of Adelaide:- Caspian Gull-billed Crested Whiskered White winged black One WWB was in breeding plumage and two were in non-breeding plumage; having them in all in the scope at the one time made it very easy to tell them from Whiskered. Most of the migratory waders have now left Toderel.. only saw RN Stint, Greenshank, Woood & Curlew sandpipers.
