Please forgive me for using the birding-aus list to spread the information
below. We are currently running out of time to get the funding for a very
exciting scientific expedition. Below follows a very short note.
In order to finance an expedition to the Peruvian Andes to collect several new
taxa to Science there will be a bidding for the right to participate in the
expedition and the description of very possibly (several sight records) a new
Antpitta to Science. Bidding starts at US$ 5.000. There is only one position
(or possibly a couple). The expedition will start in the end of May or the
beginning of June and will last for a month (shorter time possible for
participant). The expedition is endorsed by the Museo de Historia Natural en
Lima and the Zoologisk Museum of Copenhagen, Denmark.
