birding-aus With Phil Maher's group inJan-Feb we had no trouble seeing Woodhens. Two were on the lawn beside us when we ate lunch the first day at Redlands. We watched a fight between a Woodhen and a Rail from the car beside the runway another day, and on another occasion saw one with two chicks feeding beside the track between the dump and the aerodrome. - A pair walked across in front of us further down it. Seen on 6 days - nine on the last one, although some further afield. Phil saw one Starling on the Malabar track in the gale on the 4th Feb. Frank O'Connor has a detailed account on his web page.
