birding-aus Last night at 11.15pm I heard what sounded like a flock of Silver Gulls flying overhead. I peered up through the misty darkness but couldn?t see anything. Then at intervals throughout the night I kept hearing assorted soft peeps and whistles from above, sounds I didn?t recognise, and I wondered whether some of the waders might migrate at night over the mountains?
