Tom,
Rod Hobson got one in the Lockyer Valley a few years ago - from memory, in a
remnant patch of brigalow in the Forest Hill area, near Gatton. I'll see if
I can locate the details in the Toowoomba Bird Observers newsletter and
email the details.
I've not heard of any other sightings near here.
Yesterday, a female Painted Snipe was seen at Lockyer Waters along the
channel that feeds into Atkinson's Dam. Ring John Hadley at Forest Hill for
