Sunday January 24, a spotlighting excursion along Claytons Road, the
disused road connecting Point Lookout and Amity Point, produced no
mammals but gave us an outstanding viewing of an A.O.N. perched on a low
branchof a roadside tree.
Another bird, which refused to untuck its head from under its wing,
we decided was a Noisy Friarbird (Philemon corniculatus), our common
bird of that size and body, wing and tail colour.
