Good morning all,

I do agree about planting natives bringing back the feathered natives but I
am not sure about excluding the exotics. I bought in 1984 a narrow
inner-city backyard with jasmine, bougainvillea, camellias etc. I planted
two rainforest palms and other natives and now have regular visits from
white-plumed honeyeaters, noisy miners, spotted pardelotes, willie
wagtails, silvereyes, koels, pied currawongs, rainbow lorikeets, all of
which doesn't sound much but in the middle of the city surrounded with
concrete backyards, Hills hoists and tarmac,I think it is rather good! I
also have bulbuls and the ghastly mynas.
