birding-aus G'day, It's 0840 and I've just returned home from watching a mixed flock of 20 frigatebirds - 17 Lesser and 3 Greater - at Sandstone Point opposite Bribie Island (about 70 km north of Brisbane, QLD). They were first seen by Kym, my wife, on her way to work at about 0745. Incidentally, the driving rain all night, which is persisting this morning, has led to the closure of the Bribie Island road (I hear). Cheers - Trevor.
