A number of observers over the period 21/1/99 to 24/1/99 have seen and taken photos of up to four Red-necked Phalaropes at Penrice Saltfields near Adelaide. As far as is known, they are still there. Sometimes at a distance but often as close as 15-20ft. Observers have included John Cox, John Hatch, the undersigned and many others. Good birding. Tony.
