Hi Birders, I thought that you might like to know that Jan England from Cairns did make it to the Central Coast on Wednesday 30th December 1998 and met me at 7 am at Somersby Falls in Brisbane Water National Park along with Ross Mulholland and Deidre. The Rock Warblers came on cue on the second level of the Falls where two adults and two recently fledged young were found. Extended views were had at close range and the birds even perched on the stairs and handrails. Other birds seen included Wonga Pigeon, Brown Cuckoo-Dove, Leaden Flycatcher, Rufous Whistler, King Parrot, Grey Fantail, White-cheeked Honeyeater, Brown Thornbill, Eastern Spinebill, Yellow Robin, New Holland Honeyeater etc Jan is now off to the Capertee Valley and the Hawkesbury marshes.
