The Threat Abatement Plan for the incidental catch (or by-catch) of
seabirds during oceanic longline fishing operations is now available as a
final report.

I received a copy forwarded to my Department today. Copies of the report
are available from Environment Australia's - Community Information Unit in
Canberra (tel. 1800 803 772).

The report is also available at the following rather longish address:

http:\\www.biodiversity.environment.gov.au/plants/threaten/plans/threat_aba
tement_plans/catch_of_seabirds_by_longline_fishing/index.htm

The hard copy has a superb photograph of a Light Mantled Albatross at its
nest on the cover.
