Musk Lorikeets are common in Altona meadows and Laverton at the moment and their roosting flocks usually include a few Purple-crowned Lorikeets and fewer Little Lorikeets. They are roosting near Laverton cricket oval and at the back of the water treatment plant. Can see or hear all three species from my home most evenings. Purple-crowned Lorikeets are probably nesting in concrete lamp-posts by Westona Station car park Roger - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Roger Hicks Tel : 03-9369-6023 (home) 4 Hakea Court, 03-9865-8613 (work) Altona Meadows Victoria 3028 E-mail: Australia - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |
