A reliable birder from Helidon has advised me he had a flock of around 60
White-rumped Swiftlets over his property this morning, slowly moving
westward. From memory, he has recorded this species there on at least 3
other occasions in the past 10 years.

I for one have never seen this species around SE Qld, so I'm wondering how
often it gets reported from anywhere else in SE Qld? It would seem to
occur more regularly than the records indicate, suggesting we should be
paying a lot more attention to those SSS's (Some Sort of Swift) flying
overhead.

And let's not forget the possibility of House Swift as well.
