Part 2... (a) I was flicking through my beloved bird guides (bibles) last night brushing up on the differences between Aussie grasswrens. I now think I'm cool with their differences, habitat etc. Like seabirds they've always been a bit hazy for me. Anyway... Has anyone on line ever seen a Black Grasswren? It looks spectacular and I'd love to see one. Can anyone enlighten me on their characteristics, moods, habitat, emotions, sex appeal etc.????? (b) Of late I've been scouring the Saltpan Creek area near Bankstown for Lewin's Rail. Has anyone seen one there? Can you tell me where EXACTLY to search for them? There was a mad cisticola flying and displaying there yesterday. It made much airborne buzzing. Thanks people. Cheers and peace, Lorne. |
