There is a story in this morning's Australian on page 3 about deformed flying foxes in Tolga, on the Atherton Tableland, North Queensland. Do you remember a few months ago someone posted a message on this list about a deformed Common Myna (I quite forget now what kind of deformity) in Tolga, and I replied that I had seen, also in Tolga, a Common Myna without head feathering, in May of 1997? Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. If anyone up that way knows who to contact at DPI or DEH, it would be worth putting the information in front of them, just in case there could be a link.
