Unusual Behaviour

Hi to all,
I saw a Bar-shouldered Dove presenting in an unusual way the other day.
Instead of bowing and spreading its tail feathers into a fan shape it seemed
to take two steps and then a hop and on landing it would come erect and
point the tail feathers stiffly down, but not fanned.  This routine was
carried out on the support struts of the Hills Hoist in my backyard, the
presenting bird repeated these actions twice in both directions, that is,
both away from and towards the bird it was presenting to, which, by the way
got bored I think, and flew off during the third act.  Is this form of
presenting by Bar-shouldered Doves common?   Despite them being always in my
garden area I have never seen this type of behaviour previously.
