Enter the Royal National Park from Princes Highway at Loftus. Meet at the
OLD Visitors Centre, Audley. Just over the causeway of the Hacking River,
take the side road going off on the right, past the stone toilet block, and
meet at the open-sided pavilion. Even in October the Royal National Park
can be quite cold after dark so please have the children come in strong
shoes and with a warm jacket. If possible bring a torch for everyone, and
binoculars. Please bring a picnic dinner (already cooked) as we will not be
lighting fires. We will finish the walk with a brief chat about what we have
seen followed by the usual handouts and goodies to eat, and we aim to be
all finished by 8.30 pm. Being out in the bush at night is a fascinating
experience. If the weather is bad, phone between 1-1.30 pm
