I was fortunate enough to be among the approx 150 people who turned up
on a Tuesday morning for the official opening of Gluepot Reserve. I'm
sorry Roger and I weren't able to stay until after lunch and "mingle",
but we'll certainly be going back for a good look around, when things
are a bit quieter.
As a freelance correspondant for our local paper, "The River News", I
took a few photos (Sorry if I startled you, David Baker-Gabb!) and wrote
up the occasion for publication, relying heavily but not entirely, on
the Birds Australia press release. With a photo of the S.A. Governor,
Sir Eric Neale, it made the major, front-page story, this week. If
any-one would like the plain text version of the article, please email
me directly.
Regards, Anne
