These birds were seen by Adrian in virtually the same spot a few years ago, when a large roost was nearby. Perhaps a large number will arrive there again. It has been suggested that the area is a traditional stop before they head home. It is intersting that they are back in that very spot again. Another area that has had Swift parrots in the 90s in SA is the Bordertown Recreation Reserve (30 or so in 1995) so if anyones going near there on AUG 8/9...... "You never know" Simon Kennedy> |
