On Sunday I saw nine Regent Honeyeaters on the road heading north out of Chiltern (the Chiltern Barnawartha Road), about 200 metres before Frogs Hollow. I was put on to them by Chris Lester who saw over 20 there in May. Of particular note was a bird which was banded green over silver on the left leg and yellow over silver on the right leg. The conditions were far from favourable and the bands were quite difficult to see. I am however reasonably confident that I have the combinations right. Could you please tell me where the birds were banded. Regards John Barkla |
