     Highlights by observers in New South Wales over the last week are as 
     follows:
     
     ROYAL ALBATROSS    1 (northern) Mistral Point, Maroubra 2/7 
     PROVIDENCE PETREL  24 Mistral Point, Maroubra 1/7
     FAIRY PRION        thousands from Sydney headlands all week 
     SLENDER-BILLED PRION       1 Mistral Point, Maroubra 30/6 & 4/7 
     ANTARCTIC PRION    reported from Maroubra, Sydney 30/6
     RED-FOOTED BOOBY   the bird found inland on 22/6 refused to fly when 
     taken out to sea on 28/6 and has been sent to Queensland for care.
     
     AUSTRALASIAN BITTERN        up to 2 daily to at least 5/7 Pitt Town    
                                 Lagoon, Windsor
     HARDHEAD           400 Pitt Town Lagoon, Windsor 28/6
     PACIFIC BAZA       2 Avoca Beach 28/6 & 1 West Pymble, Sydney 29/6 
     BEACH STONE-CURLEW 1 daily to at least 5/7 Bonnievale, Royal Nat. Park 
     WHITE-FRONTED TERN 38 Maroubra, Sydney 30/6
     GLOSSY BLACK COCKATOO      2 Kurrajong Heights, Richmond & 9 Capertee  
                        Valley 4/7
     SWIFT PARROT       up to 100 daily to at least 5/7 Londonderry,        
                        Richmond
     SOOTY OWL          2 Ourimbah, Central Coast 1/7
     POWERFUL OWL       1 Bonnievale, Royal Nat. Park 30/6 & 1 Mitchell     
                        Park, Cattai 28/6
     SOUTHERN LOGRUNNER 3 Bulli Pass, north of Wollongong 5/7 
     REGENT HONEYEATER  4 Castlereagh Forest, Richmond 20/6 
     PLUM-HEADED FINCH  16 Capertee Valley 4/7
     
     As always this report is only a summary of reports to BIRDLINE.  It 
     does not contain all contributions, nor exact locations, through space 
     constraints.  However full details, of all sitings, are always sent to 
     the NSW recorder for inclusion in the Annual NSW Bird Report.
