Hi to all you birders down under,
I will be visiting Sydney for a conference the first week of July and
I'm hoping to get in a few days' birding before and after. I've been
to Aus once before (Brisbane area) so I've already seen about 175 of
the commoner species. So a lot of stuff will still be new for me
(hopefully). I'd particularly like to see waders (wrong time of year
I guess) and nocturnal birds, but basically anything would be
enjoyable. Could anyone recommend good places to visit? The days I
should be free are Sat/Sun 4/5 July and Sun/Mon/(Tue) 12/13/14 July.
(I've booked for the Sydney pelagic on 11 July.) I won't have
transport but could possibly rent a car for a day or two.
Also, would anyone be willing to go show me around a bit?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.
