Thank you to all who participated in the Regent Honeyeater/Swift Parrot
surveys on the weekend. It is premature to be reporting on the results but
the find by Edwin Vella west of Sydney highlights the importance of
visiting new sites rather than wearing a deep path to the "old faithfuls".

As David McDonald said "someone had to send in a nil return for the area".
There will undoubtedly be many nil returns, par for the coarse if searching
for endangered species really, but these are essential if we are to build
up a comprehensive picture of where they are being seen and where they are
not being seen.

We will be preparing a summary of the survey results for all participants
of the survey once the results are in. Could all participants please
return sheets, including nil returns, as soon as possible.

Thanks again
