Subject: | Regent HE/Swift Parrot survey: North of Junee |

Edwin Vella hit the jackpot near Sydney. On 9-10 May I covered the area loosely described in the survey's where to go specifications as 'North of Junee'. Searched most of the larger nature reserves and state forests in the circle bounded by Cootamundra, West Wyalong, Ardlethan, Coolamon, Junee, Cootamundra. Found only one site where there was any significant amount of Ironbark flowering (near Bethungra: heaps of HEs and two flying mice aka Little Lorikeets were present). Had a zero score for the Regent Honeyeaters and Swift Parrots. Well, someone had to submit a nil return for the area!
