Trevor Hampel's comments re Flame Robins in the Adelaide hills is not quite correct. These birds have turned up a few times in the 1990's, one case in particular being a pair which were resident in the Mt. Compass swamp area for at least two winters, approx 1995/6. Many members of the SAOA saw these birds, but maybe the sightings didn't get recorded in the SA Ornithologist, but were certainly noted in the newsletters of the time. Tony Russell.
