Victoria (Australia) has a website where Action Statements (AS) for flora
and fauna listed under the Flora and Fauna Guarantee (FFG) Act. Action
Statements describe Victoria's threatened plants and animals, biological
communities and potentially threatening processes and the actions proposed
to ameliorate the loss or impact of these items in the State.
There are 15 Action Statements on birds occurring in Victoria. The site
is on the Department of Natural Resources and Environment webpage at the
following address:

The AS include a simple picture of the species and a map of its
distribution in the State. Some other Australian States have similar
published documents, but as far as I am aware they are unavailable on-line.
Should anyone wish to nominate a species, community or potentially
threatening process occurring in Victoria to the FFG Act, please feel free
