Here at last is a sort of 'rulebook' for birding-aus:

1. Send only plain text email messages

Please avoid attachments going to the whole list - it
wastes bandwidth and is costly to many members

2. Include only the ESSENTIAL part of previous messages

3. Reply only to the sender for RFIs (Requests for Information)

Think about whether or not all 500 subscribers are interested
in your material - if so, send it to the list

4. Think CAREFULLY before you hit the SEND button

One of our contributors has already faced legal action over
something implied in a message - check that you really want
to send every message to the whole list

5. Be clear, factual and polite

Luckily, we've seen few breaches of this in 4 years of Birding-Aus

6. Keep your 'welcome' message so you know how to subscribe or
        unsubscribe in future

OK That's enough rules for now. And enough from me. Bye.
