Last night on A CURRENT AFFAIR (I think), there was a short story about a farm with emus at Inverell. Hundreds of the emus died as they were neglected for two weeks or more, when the owner sold up and moved on!!! The good old RSPCA are on the case and hoping to find the owner and fine him/her. He/she could be up for two years in jail or a major fine. The image of shadowy, clumped, emu carcasses, looking like discarded old mops, was rather sad. Does anyone know anything further about this? Did anyone see the show? LORNE. |
