I wonder if he is any relation to Thomas Crapper, the inventor of the
first flush toilet?  ("Crapper's Valveless Water Waste Preventor" -
1837)

New Scientist had a long running series of such names in the back
of the magazine; does anyone have any examples of bird-related names?
