Dear Peregrines,
With our Dry Season coming up and lots of birders thinking about
coming up, this may be helpful. My website has lists of birds for the
NT, for the Darwin region and for Kakadu. The Darwin one is the most
up-to-date, but the others aren't too far out (a few recent vagrants
from Darwin need to be added to the NT list). Feel free to download
the lists and use them to check off birds you see if you come up. I'd
welcome anyone pointing out any errors or omissions, and would
certainly welcome any substantiated additions.
An annotated list is in the pipeline to give an idea of abundance of
the species but at the moment there's no indicated difference between
the most common and rarest, just a simple list.
Whilst the birding is pretty good at the moment, be warned that it's
stinking hot!! Hopefully it will cool down soon.

Happy birding
Niven
