At 18:34 27/03/98 +1000, Vicki Parslow Stafford replied to Andrew Taylor : >I used to spend a bit of time at Toorbul on the Pumicestone Passage, but >not, alas, for about 4 years. Checking my lists, I found three sightings >of Black-necked storks in the area, all in 1993 (Jan, April and Oct.). I have just spent a week in Brisbane with Arthur & Sheryl Keates. We saw an immature Black-necked Stork at Toorbul just before high tide. I also saw one on a small pool not far from the airport next to the northern approach to the Gateway Bridge. ____________________________________________________________ Frank O'Connor Argyle Diamonds 8C Hardy Road PMB 11 Nedlands WA 6009 West Perth WA 6872 Phone +61 8 9386 5694 +61 8 9167 1445 Fax +61 8 9167 1438 Email Birding WA http://www.iinet.net.au/~foconnor/ |
