Hi all; for your interest and opportunity:
EYRE BIRD OBSERVATORY WARDENS REQUIRED
An opportunity exists for a couple interested in the position of Wardens at
Eyre Bird Observatory. Eyre, on the Nullarbor coast south of Cocklebiddy
and about 500km east of Norseman, WA, has been operating as a bird
observatory for 20 years. Set in the mallee woodland of Nuytsland Nature
Reserve, close to the coastal dunes, it has a beautiful natural setting.
Wardens need to be able to cater for guests, maintain vehicles and a small
solar power plant, and promote the positive spirit of Eyre. The work is
hard at times and the financial benefits low. A couple who can share tasks
equitably will find this a rewarding experience. If you are interested
please contact:

Applications should be made by 6 April 1998. Applicants will find it an
advantage to have visited Eyre for a week or two before deciding to take on
the position, in order to understand the nature of the work and the
implications of Eyre's relative isolation. A hand-over period of at least a
week prior to commencement is essential. Duties begin 1 July 1998
