Yes - Oh for a CD set as comprehensive as the excellent Buckingham/ Jackson BOCA cassette series, what a learning tool it would be. The booklet accompanying Cassette 11, Little Friarbird to Scarlet Honeyeater, has a great introduction pp iii-v outlining all the technical processes used to produce the series including converting analogue to digital, quality, frequencies, & the software used. (...and the first words inside the booklet cover give a bird-friendly warning about field playback...) |
