The 1997 Australian Bird Research Directory has now been loaded onto the
Birds Australia website <http://www.vicnet.net.au/~birdsaus>. It lists and
describes 339 bird research topics that were conducted on Australian birds
in 1997.
Project descriptions are listed under research institutions in each
Australian state or territory, or as a project conducted by an overseas
institution.
Hard copies of the Directory will be on sale as a Birds Australia Report
within one month's time. Contact Hugo Phillipps at the Birds Australia
Office for further details.
Many thanks to all the researchers who contributed to the 1997 Directory. A
few researchers did not contribute to this year's directory. So I hope they
will consider making a contribution next year.
