Hello all... Lorne here... My trip up to Newcastle with my esteemed colleagues and brilliant birdos, Edwin Vella and Keith Brandwood, was fantastic. They found, with their scopes mainly, SEVEN lifers for me! Thankyou lads. The Yellow Wagtail, though relatively uneventful plumage wise, was brilliant because of its rarity in the NSW area. You should have seen Edwin's jump for joy when he spotted it amongst the thickets in the marsh!!! It was a very flighty bird, thus it was hard to get good views. Cheers and peace, LGJ. : ) |
