Hi all A list of cane toad predators appeared on birding-aus a short time ago. Did it include Bush Stone-curlews? Last night, during an infrequent break in the rain I tracked a BSC with some prey which it dropped. On inspection it was found to be a small cane toad. One of the rainfall readings south of Cairns today was over 700 mills, more locally at Daintree its only about 200. March 1996 five day reading at Daintree was 1,500 mills. cheers Chris |
