A notice or reminder to those interested (and able to function at the time).

For the past 15 years the Wildlife Preservation Society of Australia has
conducted an annual New Year's Day Garden Bird Count across Australia, and
invited everyone to participate in recording the numbers and species of
birds in and around their own back-yards between 7 and 8 am on New Year's Day.

The count information should be sent to Patrick Medway, WPSA Executive
Officer, GPO Box 3428, SYDNEY 2001. If you also include a business-sized
self-addressed pre-stamped envelope, you will get a copy of the 1998
results. For further information you can call Patrick at Tel/Fax: (02) 9556
1537, or Vincent Serventy (President WPSA) at Tel: (02) 4344 4708.

Cheers, Hugo.
