Hi from Arkansas in the USA: I hope I'm posting this to an appropriate location; please forgive me if I'm not. I'm a US birder who's made two trips to Australia, trying to clean up my bird list. I have two questions I hope aren't too dumb: What kind of silvereye/white-eye is found on Green Island off Cairns? I've seen conflicting reports. Are the Magpie Geese I saw at Bool Lagoon in S. Australia "countable"? Here, we can list birds from an introduced population if they've maintained a viable breeding population for 15 years, I believe. I don't know what the rules are in Australia or what the status of these birds is. Thanks in advance for any help. Reply to Mel White Little Rock, Arkansas USA |
