G'day all

My father was birding in Chiltern Box-ironbark N.P. (n.e. Victoria) last
week and is positive he heard a Crested Bellbird calling. He is familiar
with this species in the Bendigo whipstick. The location was along
Lancashire Gap road towards the southern end of the park.

The Crested Bellbird has been considered extinct in the park for a few
years now according to locals (eg Eileen Collins) and I last heard one in
there in January 1990.

I urge all visitors to look and listen out for CB's when visiting
Chiltern.

Cheers

Steve
