Good idea Michael.
My main interests at the moment are (in no particular order & on various
open-ended timelines):
(1) Decline & local extinction of birds in grassy woodland remnants at
Inverleigh and Bannockburn on the western plains of Victoria;
(2) Home range size of the Masked Owl (Tyto novaehollandiae) in the
Angahook-Lorne State Park, Otway Ranges, south-west Victoria;
(3) Review of the biology of the Painted Honeyeater (Grantiella picta);
(4) Population size and density of the White-throated Nightjar
(Eurostopodus mystacalis) in the Brisbane Ranges, south-west Victoria;
(5) Review of the fauna (including avifauna) of the lower Burdekin
River, north-east Queensland (with Alex Kutt, James Cook University);
(6) Fauna survey (including avifauna) of the Millewa section of the
Murray-Sunset National Park, far north-west Victoria;
(7) Population size and density, and habitat use, of Rufous
Bristlebirds (Dasyornis broadbenti) in tall open-forest [as opposed to
coastal scrub] in the Angahook-Lorne State Park, Otway Ranges,
south-west Victoria.
