Hi everyone, Scott Chandry, Mark Bennett and I will also be taking part in the 1997 Twitchathon, I guess as last year, under the banner of Plain Silly Wanderers. Scott and I flew solo last year and on our first outing got 127 which we were happy with. This year we have recruited Mark as specialist Crake, Rail and wader expert. We will probably start once again in Western Victoria near the Little Desert but our second day is still a secret even to us. Our aims for the twitchathon this year are 1. Raise money for the Black-eared Miner as per all teams 2. See at least as many species as last year so we don't embarrass ourselves too much 3. Get at least one new bird for each team member over the full weekend 4. Make it to the BBQ where we can eat in the company of really good birdwatchers (ie Margaret and Lawrie's teams and those who placed higher last year) Best Wishes John |
