On David Macdonalds falling snake theme, I remember a newspaper story a few years ago about a Scottish Golfer who was killed when a passing Buzzard dropped the Adder it was carrying on to him. He died after he was bitten by the snake; pretty unlucky to have been bitten in the first place, but even more so when you consider that an Adder bite is very rarely fatal to adult humans!!!
