Several swallows' nests above library windows at Deakin University, Waurn Ponds, (Vic.,) were destroyed in 1996. However a nest built on top of a fire alarm in a passageway just inside the building was allowed to remain for several years and a door had to be left open for the birds to have access. Gail Gibbs |
