G'day all Have been having a good chuckle today watching the antics of a pair of Starlings and a pair of Indian Miners arguing the toss as to who will use the parrot nest box in my back yard. It appears the Miners have won at the moment, but to their distress, I have a large flock of batchelor magpies who are convinced there is food in the nest box, and every time one of them enters, a magpie shoves its head in the box to see what the fuss is about. The pair of Miners hunt that magpie, and the rest of the flock gather to join in the fun. Hate to disappoint them all, but that is a PARROT box, an they aint parrots. (I also have a pair of Crimson Rosellas interested.) Cheers Dave C David Churches http://www.pcug.org.au/~davec 33 Pohlman St LATHAM ACT 2615 Australia Fax: 61 6 255 2640 |
