Hello BIRDLOVERS... Lorne here...

Crested Hawks are usually not harrassed by miners when stationary. As
soon as they move their wings, as if to fly, miners will whine.
Currawongs have dived on stationary bazas. Miners seem to have a healthy
respect for bazas, and keep their distance when the hawks are perched. I
have seen a lone boobook, stationery, in understory lantana thickets,
being hassled terribly by miners however. The miners were VERY angry. I
was didturbed by the sight, as the boobook seemed rather defenceless. It
eventually flew to emancipation thankfully.

Also... I once saw a bitter female King Parrot swoop at a Pacific Baza a
couple of times!!! Kings try it with Channel-billed Cuckoos. Currawongs
get very aggressive with Channel-billeds too!!!

LGJ.
