Hello Birders

Went to the Central coast last Sunday, 20th July.

Best bird seen was an Arctic Tern in full breeding plumage (bird had
complete red bill and short legs and black cap aswell as translucent
primary feathers) at Soldiers Point east of Toukley. (this is about one
and a half-hours drive north of Sydney).

Also the same day, I visited Malina Rd at Matcham which is just east of
Gosford and one hours drive north of Sydney. At this location, there were
many Regent Bowerbirds (3 adult males and several brown birds), Satin
Bowerbirds, Figbirds, Green-winged (3 birds atleast) and White-headed
Pigeons (50 plus), Brown Cuckoo Dove's and Wonga Pigeons. All these Birds
were feeding on Privet which comes in fruit at this time of the year. This
is a fairly reliable spot for all these species at this time of the year.

Directions to this area are as follows:

>From the Entrance Rd, turn left onto Matcham Rd then take the next left
onto Malina Rd till the end where you will see all the Privit.

Happy Biding
